Dothan has a population of nearly 70,000 residents and about 180 miles south of Atlanta, GA. The area now known as the city of Dothan was originally inhabited by the Creek and Alabama Native Americans. At that time, it was known as Poplar Head.

It was first settled by the whites in the 1830s. The area's first post office was established in 1885. In the same year it was renamed Dothan because there was another post office called Poplar Head in northern Alabama. The city was incorporated on November 11, 1885.

Other cool attractions include, Adventureland Theme Park, Alabama Agricultural Museum, Dothan Area Botanical Gardens, George Washington Carver Interpretive Center Water World, and Wiregrass Museum of Art.

Don't let your coverage lapse. If so, you will see a spike in rates.
Before buying a car shop for quotes to see how much your premium may be.
If you have an older model vehicle consider dropping optional coverage such as comprehensive and collision.
Do some research and take a few minutes to learn the minimum coverage and other factors which apply in your state.
Maintain good credit to keep your premium as low as possible.
