Below is table of the least expensive insurers from 30 to 55 years of age. The top 3 are National General, Progressive, and Accc.

Alfa, State Farm, and Infinity rounded out the next three. The driver profile is for a female which had no driving violations, good credit, and owned a 2012 Toyota Camry.

Although there are companies which are priced higher it would be smart to get quotes from any of them. Since each provider may or may not give you a lower quote.

The City of Pelham was originally named Shelbyville. The first county court of Shelby County was established in this area in 1820.

Later in 1826, the court house was relocated to Columbiana. After the American Civil War, the area was renamed after John Pelham, an American Civil War officer. The city was incorporated on July 10, 1964. Paul Yeager, Sr. was the city's first mayor.

In the 1960s an annexation attempt by the neighboring City of Alabaster prompted local residents to seek incorporation of the community into a city.

In 1964, the City of Pelham was formed and Paul Yeager, Sr. became the first mayor. The first city council consisted of the following individuals: Joe Hodges, A.M. Hinds, J.T. Shelton, Burk Dunaway, and Allen Wilson.

The first city clerk was Willie Mae Dennis. The first city hall was located in the old Pelham school, a wooden building built by the WPA. In 1975, this building was demolished and the present city hall was built on the site.

Notable attractions include Pelham Industrial Park, Plaza Shopping Center, Piney Grove Church, Lake Melaken, Oak Mountain State Park, and Cole-Hall Lumber LBR.
