History, Crime, & Driving Conditions

Show Content

Trussville was originally used by Native Americans as a fishing and hunting ground. Creek Land surrendered in the year 1814. The white settlers arrived in the area soon after that.

One of these white settlers was Warren Truss, a North Carolinian. Truss began living in the area before 1820, and he acquired 1,000 acres of land.

He also built a mill on the Cahaba. The neighborhood became known as Truss. Trussville was incorporated in the year 1947.

Attracted by good schools, a safe environment and friendly atmosphere, Trussville has become a drawing card for young, middle-income families. Many have gravitated to older homes in the Cahaba Project, often upgrading or remodeling them.

Numerous subdivisions and residential areas have also sprung up within its boundaries.

With a only 3,000 residents in 1980, today it boasts nearly 25,000 residents and a lovely place for family.

Before buying a car shop for quotes to see how much your premium may be.
If you have an older model vehicle consider dropping optional coverage such as comprehensive and collision.
Do some research and take a few minutes to learn the minimum coverage and other factors which apply in your state.
