Affordable insurers for a 55 year old driver in NevadaNote: As illustrated the cheapest insurers were over $200 less than the average rate in Nevada for a 55 year old driver. See table below.

Nevada has higher than average rates one of reasons is the state has a high volume of tourists each year which increases the amount of accidents.

Other type of coverage you may want to discuss with your agent or broker is comprehensive, collision, Gap, and uninsured motorist protection.

Above average rate for a 25 year old driver Note: Above is a graph showing the 6th to 12th cheapest auto insurance providers. Not the the top 6 are illustrated. In our study we found Nationwide, State Farm, and Travelers to be relatively inexpensive. See table below.

Cheapest Auto Insurers in Nevada

Below is a list of the least expensive carriers by price for drivers from 25 to 55 years of age.

Those with the best prices overall are Allied, Progressive, and Capital.

On average the quotes are 16% to 26% lower than a driver with a similar age and profile.

It appears the top carriers such as GEICO, Allstate, and Progressive are the most competitive throughout the age spectrum particularly when you apply discounts.

The smaller local companies such as Allied and Capital are competitive for drivers under the age of 40. However, I did not get to apply discounts when querying for quotes illustrated in the table below.

Depending on your driver history or any other determining factors your rates will vary.

On the other hand, if your quotes are much higher than those listed below you may want to consider alternate ways to reduce your premium.

For example, raising your deductible if you have full coverage or dropping a coverage.
