Beginner Info: Yamaha FZ-07, Harley Davidson Street 750, Moto Morini 350 Sport, Kawasaki Versys 650

Years ago, motorcycles were not as popular, but that is changing as there are more people looking to make the switch.

There are many reasons why one may opt for a motorcycle over a normal car, including the freedom that a motorcycle provides and how cost-effective most bikes are.

Many people are looking to cut costs, and a motorcycle affords them that opportunity. The following will shed light on two new types of motorcycles and two older types.

New But Basic – Yamaha FZ-07

Standard ergonomics is important for beginners, which makes basic bikes the right choice.

These bikes do not force you to lean forward or backward, which could be tiring for beginners.

One example of this type of bike is the Yamaha FZ-07. The Yamaha FZ-07 does not require much maintenance other than regular visits to the mechanic.

Old But Familiar – Harley Davidson Street 750

The Harley-Davidson Street 750 is an example of one of the most known types of bikes out there. This bike was used in movies like Easy Rider.

These bikes are not usually for beginners. For one, they are usually heavy. Beginners need to make sure they can pick up their bikes to ensure it can be handled.

The center-gravity is a little off-kilter, which makes it harder to handle since it is not balanced. Still, this type of bike does have the benefit of simple power coordination, and it helps you ride longer since the seating allows you to sit back as you ride.

If handling it is too difficult for you, though, make sure to ride something else.

If you ride that type of motorcycle and end up in an accident with another vehicle, make sure that you contact an attorney, like those at Scherline And Associates, that specializes in car-related motorcycle incidents.

Classic and Sporty – Moto Morini 350 Sport

The Moto Morini 350 Sport was in production from 1975-1983 and is considered a classic.

The design is absolutely stylish, though, it does have one of the smallest engines on the list. A 344cc engine is pretty easy to control, so beginners can use this bike, but the lightness of the bike is noticeable, which gives it the ability to accelerate quite quickly.

The only thing that you should worry about is the high seating, which forces you to lean forward.

This is great for those who want speed, but it also makes it harder for the less experienced since it’s harder to control.

New Travelers – Kawasaki Versys 650

The Kawasaki Versys 650 is a large bike but has a lot of storage space and usually handles more gasoline.

This is the reason why this type of bike is referred to as the tourer type. The handling is a little easier, because the seating is placed higher.

The seat makes off-road riding easier as well. This is a heavy bike, meaning it might be hard to lift. Most of these bikes come weather-proofed, but you may need to weather-proof it from time to time.

These bikes are perfect for people who like to ride for long periods of time.
